Fortiscorde Gundogs Terms and Conditions have been created for the safety and protection of both Fortiscorde Gundogs, its trainers and its customers. Please ensure you have read and understand these terms. By attending training or engaging our services it will be deemed as acceptance of Fortiscorde Gundogs Terms and Conditions.

Fortiscorde Gundogs Cancellation Policy

We understand that situations can arise at short notice and on occasions, cancelling on the day sometimes cannot be avoided. As a small business, however Fortiscorde Gundogs require 48 hours’ notice wherever possible for the cancellation of any training. Any less than 48 hours and it is unlikely that we will be able to fill the lesson time we have specifically reserved for you. We, therefore reserve the right to charge a £25 cancellation fee if less than 24hrs notice given. In instances of repeated cancellations, we reserve the right to charge a full 1-2-1 lesson fee for a missed lesson along with payment in advance when re-booking. We run a cancellation list, therefore as much notice as possible will enable Fortiscorde Gundogs to offer your lesson time to another individual. ‘No shows’ and missed lessons will be charged full lesson fee for the missed lesson and is payable before additional lessons will be booked.

Cancellation by Fortiscorde Gundogs.
On occasions, due to emergencies or adverse weather (where the health and welfare of the dogs is potentially at risk), a decision to cancel lessons will be made. Fortiscorde Gundogs will reschedule your lesson to the next available date and payment (if already made) will be transferred to the rescheduled date. On occasions, postponement of group training may occur due to adverse weather conditions when it is deemed the health & welfare of the dogs could be at risk. Every attempt will be made to offer alternative dates that are convenient for all group attendees to ensure completion of the course. Any refunds will be strictly at the discretion of Fortiscorde Gundogs.

Payment

Payment for 1-2-1 private training may be made by card or cash on the day of your training. Bank transfer payments must reach us the day prior to your training.

Payment for group sessions: Upon being offered a place on one of our group courses, a 50% deposit is required to secure your place.  The remaining balance is then required in full at the first training session.

Group Training Courses
Group training dates are published in advance. Attendance at group training is by prior assessment and invitation and may be subject to a waiting list. Fortiscorde Gundogs cannot guarantee to offer places on their group courses. Any invitation to attend will be based on assessment of ability of both dog and handler and will be at the discretion of Fortiscorde Gundogs trainers.  Fortiscorde reserve the right to postpone or cancel group training if there are insufficient numbers. Any payment can be transferred to the next course or refunded at the discretion of Fortiscorde Gundogs.  Group numbers are limited, any missed group training session during a course cannot be refunded. Fortiscorde Gundogs are not obliged to offer catch-up sessions for individuals who miss group training dates. If offered, a premium of £35 will be charged for the additional lesson (which will be for a maximum of 1 hour).

Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers purchased are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Expiration dates are shown on each voucher. Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash or refunded and can only be used for the transaction for which it was purchased. Vouchers for training must be presented to the trainer for validity. Payment in full will be required if a voucher cannot be produced.

Attendance at Training

1-2-1 private lessons – Fortiscorde will permit more than one person to attend at a private training lesson. This can be of benefit to ensure that consistency of commands and training outside of training lessons is continued for the benefit of the dog. Children are permitted to attend a training session at the discretion of Fortiscorde Gundogs, and subject to prior arrangement with the trainer. Children under 15 must be supervised by an attending adult at all times.

Group Training – Fortiscorde group policy – one hander per dog. This is for the benefit of the dog during training and to allow for Fortiscorde to manage numbers in attendance on courses.

Your Safety and that of your party:
You are reminded that training lessons are held outdoors in fields and woodland. Animals such a as deer, foxes, badgers and rabbits dig and burrow. This means terrain can be uneven in places, with hidden burrow holes and slippery in places. Appropriate walking footwear is advised. There are also obstacles including brambles, ground cover and low hanging branches to consider.
By choosing to attend training with Fortiscorde, you agree to take full responsibility for your own safety, the safety of all parties accompanying you and the safety of your dog.

Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. We recommend that young children are not brought to training sessions, or that they remain in cars and not allowed to wander around the training grounds. Dogs may be loose during training and Fortiscorde take no responsibility whatsoever for the safety of children at any time (supervised or otherwise). If you are required to leave the training grounds – children must be removed also. Please do not expect anyone to take responsibility for children in your absence. In order to get the best out of training, your focus should be on training the dog, not supervising children. Please do not expect any member of the class or trainers to be responsible for your children.
We encourage family members to be involved in the training at home and we can arrange dedicated family training sessions if required.

Fortiscorde accept no responsibility for any damage to, theft of, or from your vehicle. Please do not leave valuables in your car and any dogs left unattended in a vehicle are done so at the owners risk.
