Mastering basic obedience commands is a vital part of being a responsible dog owner. These basic commands make navigating the relationship between animal and owner much easier and keep both you and your pet safe in emergency situations.
From an outsider’s perspective, basic training can look either very simple or extremely difficult. It’s important to appreciate that training can take a lot of work but also understand any dog can learn at least the most basic and necessary commands. Dog owners occasionally run into challenges when training so don’t become frustrated…. training your dog is a life-long learning journey. Asking assistance from a professional trainer benefits first-time owners or individuals struggling with teaching commands or correcting problem behaviours. Don’t ever hesitate to ask for help!
Fortiscorde Gundog training is not just specifically aimed at only ‘working’ gundogs. Gundog breeds without doubt require a certain level of stimulation by the mere nature of their breed and we find the gundog breeds respond far better using gundog skills/training techniques by tapping into their natural instincts to help create a well-rounded calm and obedient companion. Our aim is to make gundog training enjoyable and fun for both dog and handler…
Working breeds that do not have the appropriate training or are not able to meet their desires to hunt and retrieve can develop behavioural issues that can be difficult to overcome.
